What is Whole Health?

  • Our bodies are complex ecosystems with many interrelated and interdependent parts. Whole Health is when all of these parts are working efficiently and in harmony with one another.

  • When one of our body systems is not functioning properly it burdens other systems, causing imbalances. By the same token, when we begin correcting imbalances in one body system, we positively influence other body systems.

  • There are some systems – most notably our digestive and immune systems – that are fundamental to all other body systems.

  • Directing our focus towards nourishing and strengthening these core systems will help fortify the foundation on which other body systems rely.

  • As our body systems begin functioning optimally, our genes start “listening” and can express themselves accordingly. Whole Health begins here.

I’m Jessie White, a Masters-level functional nutrition professional and CNS candidate dedicated to helping individuals discover the root causes of their health challenges and find lasting solutions through personalized nutrition care.

My Approach

I believe that our bodies have an incredible capacity to heal when given the right support. My work is grounded in the understanding that health is not merely the absence of disease, but a dynamic state of balance across all body systems.

Through functional nutrition, we look at the whole picture of your health. We examine how your digestive system, immune function, hormones, detoxification pathways, and other systems interact and influence one another. When we address imbalances at this foundational level, we create ripple effects of healing throughout your entire body.

I place special emphasis on gut and immune health because these systems are truly foundational to your overall wellbeing. Your gut is home to trillions of microorganisms that influence everything from nutrient absorption and hormone production to mood and immune function. When we optimize digestive health and support immune resilience, we lay the groundwork for improvements across all areas of your health.

These areas become subject to our explorations, AND the very means by which we can improve our health outcomes—slowly and sustainably.

Nutrition

Macronutrients (protein, carbohydrates and fats) enable our body to produce energy, build tissues, regulate gene expression, and ensure cellular function. Micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) are essential helpers that enable enzymes—the catalysts of all chemical reactions in the body—to do their jobs. Without micronutrients we could not turn food into energy. Making sure you’re eating foods with plenty of nutrients and micronutrients is one of our goals, yet just as importantly, we will make sure your body is able to break down, absorb and make proper use of these life-serving substances!

Lifestyle

Our bodies listen and respond to every choice we make and routine we adopt. Our quality of sleep, exercise regimens, our relationship to stress, the connections with have with people in our lives—every bit of it shifts our biochemistry and can profoundly contribute to wellbeing or lack thereof. We will look at the ways in which each of these areas is contributing to your state of health.

Environment

The air we breathe, the water we drink, the household and personal products we use, the conditions of our surroundings all have an extreme impact on blood chemistry, hormone balance, detoxifying abilities and immune system regulation. It is of great importance to understand how aspects of your environment influence your health status, and how we can make adaptations to reduce harmful triggers and increase health-promoting ones.

STARTER PACKAGE

All clients begin with an initial consultation
plus follow-up visit.

Initial consultation
Our first session together is an in-depth exploration of your health history, current symptoms, lifestyle factors, and wellness goals. We'll discuss your diet, digestive health, immune function, energy levels, sleep quality, stress, and any other concerns you may have.

This thorough assessment allows me to identify patterns and potential root causes of imbalances. Together, we'll work towards developing an initial understanding of what's happening in your body and why.

Follow up visit
Ahead of our visit I will send you preliminary nutritional and lifestyle recommendations along with initial action steps. We will discuss these during the session. I will also send you a timeline outlining longer-term plans we can embark on together to meet your nutritional goals if you so choose to continue working together. During the session we will discuss this "road map" and the ways that I can support you best in working toward your desired health outcomes.

  • 90-minute one-on-one consultation

  • Comprehensive health history review

  • Symptom and lifestyle assessment

  • 60-minute follow-up visit

  • Initial nutrition and lifestyle recommendations plus preliminary action steps.

  • Timeline outlining steps we can work on together toward your longer-term nutritional goals.
