What is Whole Health?
Our bodies are complex ecosystems with many interrelated and interdependent parts. Whole Health is when all of these parts are working efficiently and in harmony with one another.
When one of our body systems is not functioning properly, it burdens our other systems, causing imbalances. By the same token, when we begin correcting imbalances in one body system, we help to bring other systems into balance.
There are some body systems—most notably our digestive and immune systems—that we can consider to be at the root of all other systems.
If we direct our focus toward nourishing and strengthening these root systems, we are fortifying the foundation from which all other body systems stem!
As our foundational (root) systems begin functioning optimally, and our other body systems begin following suit, our genes start “listening” and can express themselves accordingly! Whole Health begins here.

How do we Harness Whole Health?
REPOSITION OUR FOCUS
We do so by REPOSITIONING OUR FOCUS away from our symptoms and diagnoses, and toward the underlying physiological imbalances.
SYMPTOMS ARE ONLY MESSENGERS
Symptoms are messengers, they are not the source of the problem. They are the body’s way of telling us (sometimes screaming at us) that our internal systems are not functioning as they should be for optimal health.
LOOK BENEATH THE SURFACE
Bringing our attention to what’s going on inside our bodies beneath our surfacing symptoms allows us to address the roots instead of the branches (the cause instead of the effect). In doing so, we can gain knowledge around how our body systems work, which in turn will shed light on the profound influence that diet and lifestyle choices can have on our body systems and overall state of health.
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER
Gaining knowledge as to how our body systems work gives us power — power to advocate for, and champion ourselves in our many healthcare relationships. Ultimately, this allows us to attain a level of control over our overall health OUTCOMES. This is invaluable!
HEAL IMBALANCES
Healing underlying imbalances (at the root level) allows for significant and sustainable shifts to be obtained in overall health outcomes, and can help our body systems establish preventative measures to ward off further dis-ease.
Harnessing Whole Health involves empowering ourselves with an understanding of what's going on beneath the surface of our symptoms.
In this respect, we are learning how to manage, resolve and ultimately prevent the underlying causes/s of the presentation.
With this knowledge and practice we can develop a new type of relationship with ourselves, one which allows us to be in a dance with our bodies as opposed to a battle.

We will begin by mapping your personal story—all that has made (and is making) an impact on your health, both historically and currently—using frameworks such as a timeline and a body systems-matrix.
This will help us understand YOU, and allow us to connect dots and draw connections between inputs (diet, lifestyle routines, circumstances, experiences, environmental factors) and outward expressions.
These frameworks (as opposed to static protocols) provide the container for YOUR current and vital, LIVING information and documentation of such, and will guide us through our evolving plan of action.

With the knowledge and insight we gain from mapping your personal story, we will tailor your personalized nutrition program.
As you try your nutrition program on for size, we will gain a new level of insight into YOU through the use of trackers, such as a food/mood/poop journal.
Keeping a daily record of all that you eat, how it makes you feel, and what comes out the other end, along with tracking your other lifestyle routines such as exercise, sleep and relaxation practices will be an integral piece of this “pie” as it will help us see what is working for YOU, and what isn’t!
